Nightify organizes the home page around a city. You can use the device’s location or choose the city manually: the sections of the home page and the results adapt accordingly.
At a glance
- Where: website: home page and Explore events page (Search by city field); app: Home, the name of the city at the top right next to the pin icon.
- How it is chosen: with the device’s location (if you allow geolocation) or by searching for the city by name.
- What changes: the sections of the home page (featured events, by category, by day) and the city preset in the search.
Step by step on the website
- Open the home page. What you see: the slider at the top (the promotional slides have the Discover more button), then the scrolling sections with the featured events and those by category and by day; with a city set, the first section is called Featured events in …. At the bottom, Explore all now opens the full list.
- Choose the city. In the Search by city field (on the home page or on the Explore events page) type the name and select the city from the suggestions. Result: the list shows only that city and the page address changes: you can save it among your browser bookmarks.
- Combine it with the category. From a city’s page choose a category: the list shows only the events of that type in that city.
- Use your location. If the browser asks for the geolocation permission, allow it: the website suggests the nearest city.
Step by step in the app
- On first launch. What you see: Discover events near you. Tap Use my location and allow access to your location, or Choose a city and look it up with Search for a city.
- On the Home tab. The name of the city is at the top: tap it to change it. If you haven’t chosen anything, No Location appears.
- Scroll through the categories. In the bar under the name of the city (All and the available categories) tap a category; in each section use See all.
- If there are no events. What you see: We are coming to your city! with We currently have no events in your area and the Change city button.
Messages and errors

Special cases
- You travel often: in the app change the city from the Home tab whenever you need to; the choice is remembered until the next change.
- Favourite city of the profile: it is a separate piece of data, set in Edit Profile, used for suggestions; it does not change the city of the home page.
Rules and limits
- Events with the Featured badge are promoted by the organizer.
- Your location is used only to suggest the city: it is not saved in your profile.
