A tracking channel is a link to the event with a label: every reservation started by someone who arrives from that link is attributed to the channel, with reservations, tickets, amounts and entries. It is there to measure campaigns, partners and promoters who are not part of the organization’s team.
At a glance
- Where: event dashboard → Sales channels section → Add channel link in the header of the table.
- Permissions: Manage event marketing (included in the Administrator role).
- What you get: a row in the Sales channels table with the public link of the event followed by the channeltracking parameter and the identifier of the channel, and the Copy link button.
- What it is NOT: a channel for the members of the team. For a collaborator who has an account, use the Promoter role, which has a personal link with the channel parameter.
Before you start
- Choose a short, recognizable name for every channel (for example Stories September, Newsletter October, Bar Centrale): in ticket visibility the name is taken into account only up to 64 characters.
- The event must have a public address: without a public page the link to copy does not appear.
Step by step
- Open the event dashboard and scroll down to the Sales channels table. What you see: one row for every existing channel (team promoters and tracking channels, with the icon of the type) with the columns Channel, Reservations qty, Access passes qty, Commissions, Pre-sale rights, Total, Entries.
- Create the channel. Press Add channel. What you see: the New tracking channel window with the Channel name field (mandatory) and the Type menu with Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, WhatsApp, Other. Press Create. Confirmation: Tracking channel created. and the new row appears in the table.
- Copy the link. In the row of the channel you read the full address and press Copy link: the link goes to the clipboard. Use it in the campaign or hand it to the partner. Every channel has its own link and every link works only for its own event.
- Follow the results. The columns of the row are updated with the attributed reservations; the last row of the table adds up all the channels. In the Reservations report use Filter by channel to see the individual orders of the channel; in the Conversion report use the Search by tracking field (the Search by channel ID or name field is about the channels of the promoters).
How attribution works
- The channel travels in the link: when the fan opens the event page with the parameter of the channel and starts the reservation, the channel is written on the cart when the cart is created. There is no cookie and no memory in the browser or in the app: if the fan comes back later without the link, the reservation is not attributed.
- The channel is checked against the list of the channels of the event: a parameter that does not match a valid channel of that event blocks the start of the reservation with The access type is no longer available. Try selecting another option.
- In the Reservations report the Channel column shows, for the attributed orders, the Organizer link badge followed by the badge with the name of the channel; orders without a channel show a red badge with the name of the app.
Fields and options

| Type | Category of the channel, used for the icon in the table and as a prefix in visibility (for example instagram · Stories September). | Instagram, TikTok, Newsletter, WhatsApp, Other. |
| Reservations qty | Number of orders attributed to the channel. | |
| Access passes qty | Number of tickets in the attributed orders. | |
| Commissions, Pre-sale rights, Total | Amounts of the attributed orders: service fees charged to the buyer, pre-sale rights and total (amount plus fees plus rights). | In euros. |

The link with ticket visibility
- In the Visibility section of an access title, with Limited visibility, the Sales channels list groups the tracking channels under Marketing channels, labelled as type · name. If you select one, the title can be bought only by those who arrive from that link.
- For every channel you can set a Sales quota: Unlimited, Set the same limit for all channels or Set limit per channel. The hint makes it clear: A quota caps sales for a channel; it does not reserve or randomly distribute seats.
Messages and errors
| Message | Why it appears | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Tracking channel created. | Confirmation of creation. | Copy the link from the new row. |
| Invalid parameters. | Name or type missing. | Fill in Channel name and choose a Type. |
| Invalid event. | The event that was passed does not exist or is not valid. | Reload the dashboard and try again. |
| Error creating the channel. | Saving failed. | Try again; if it persists contact support. |
| The access type is no longer available. Try selecting another option. (on the fan’s side) | The link contains a channel that is not valid for this event (for example a link of another event). | Give the partner the link copied from the channel row of this event. |
Special cases
- Sales are not attributed. The fan searched for the event instead of opening the link, or opened the link and completed the purchase later without the parameter: only the reservations started from the tracked link are attributed.
- The same partner on several dates. Channels are per event: create one channel for each event and hand every partner the right links.
- Read-only reports. In reports shared with a read-only link the channels table shows neither the links nor Add channel.
Rules and limits
- There is no function to edit or delete a channel from the dashboard: choose the name and the type carefully when you create it.
- The link of a channel works only on the public page of the event it belongs to.
