If you advertise on Meta, TikTok or Google, the pixels measure how many people coming from your campaigns visit the event page, start the reservation and complete it, and they let you build audiences for retargeting. Nightify inserts the snippet in the event page, in the reservation pages and in the order confirmation page, and it sends the events with the standard names of each platform.
At a glance
- Where: event editing → Publish step → Tracking pixel code section (Add a tracking pixel to measure visits and conversions from your campaigns.) → Tracking code (pixel) field. From the Statistics page of the event the Pixel diagnostics box offers the Configure pixel link, but only while no snippet has been saved yet.
- Permissions: Manage events and Manage ticketing; the Configure pixel link does not appear while the event is under review.
- Limit: 2 pixels per event (You can add up to 2 pixels. Paste each pixel code into a separate field.).
- Allowed providers: Meta, TikTok, Google (Google tag or Google Tag Manager).
Before you start
- Get the official snippet from the panel of the advertising platform and copy it in full, without changes.
- The placeholder of the field is a reminder of the constraint: Paste only official Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google tag/GTM snippets.
Step by step
- Open the section. Go into the editing of the event, go to the Publish step and scroll down to Tracking pixel code. What you see: the Tracking code (pixel) label, the note about the limit, the Pixel 1 box and, below it, the Pixel diagnostics box.
- Paste the snippet. Paste the code into the Pixel 1 box. What you see: the Pixel diagnostics box switches to Valid with Detected providers and Detected IDs, or to Invalid with the reason.
- Add the second pixel, if you need it. Press Add another pixel: the Pixel 2 box appears with the Remove pixel button. Once the limit is reached the add button disappears.
- Try sending (optional). Press Send test event in the diagnostics box: see the article about the test.
- Save and publish. Confirm the step with the publication button (for an event already online, Publish changes). Result: the snippet is saved with the event and it is active on the public pages once the published version is updated. A snippet that is not recognized blocks saving with Enter an official Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google tag/Google Tag Manager snippet with a recognized pixel or tag ID.
What is sent
| Moment | Meta | TikTok | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Opening of the event page | ViewContent | ViewContent | view_item |
| Start of the reservation (ticket choice and checkout pages) | InitiateCheckout | InitiateCheckout | begin_checkout |
| Confirmation of the order (reservation page in the fan’s account) | Purchase for paid orders; for free reservations the event configured by the platform | CompletePayment for paid orders, CompleteRegistration for free ones | purchase for paid orders; for free reservations the event configured by the platform |
- Every event carries the titles of the order as items; for paid orders also the EUR currency, the value of the order and the reservation code (order_id for Meta and TikTok, transaction_id for Google).
- Sending from the browser happens at all three moments for every recognized provider.
Server-side tracking
- For Meta (Conversions API) and TikTok (Events API) Nightify can also send the order confirmation event from the server, which is more reliable when the browser blocks the pixels. It is sent only when the reservation is completed and it goes through a queue with automatic retries.
- Access tokens and test event codes are not in the organizer’s snippet: they are configuration of the Nightify platform. Only the ID of the pixel is read from the snippet. The status per provider is visible in the Server-side row of the diagnostics.
- Google has no server-side sending: the diagnostics shows it as browser only.

Special cases
- No pixel on the event. If the event has no snippet, the site-wide pixel configured by the Nightify administration is applied to its pages, when there is one. With a snippet on the event, only the one of the event applies.
- Two IDs in the same snippet. They both count towards the limit of 2 pixels.
- Duplicated event. Open the Publish step of the new event and check that the code is there before publishing it.
- Event under review. The Configure pixel link in the Statistics does not appear; wait for the end of the review or edit the Publish step when it is available.
Rules and limits
- A maximum of 2 pixels per event; only official Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google tag or Google Tag Manager snippets.
- Compliance with privacy rules towards the fans (privacy notice and consents for your campaigns) stays with the organizer, as the owner of the campaigns.
