Read your notifications

The notification center collects notices about reservations, events, messages and follow requests. Where it is on the website and in the app, how to open the related content, mark everything as read and what the messages mean.

Every important notice is saved in your account’s notification center, even if you have turned off e-mail or push for that category. From here you can read the communications again and open with one tap the reservation, event or profile they refer to.

At a glance

  • Where: website: My accountNotifications (nightify.me/account/notifications), with a preview in the dashboard and the View all notifications button; app: bell icon → My notifications.
  • What it contains: confirmations and status changes of reservations, waiting list offers, cancellations or postponements, replies in conversations, New follow request and Follow request accepted, event review outcomes for organizers.
  • Status: in the list the unread ones have a dot (label Unread) and in the My account preview the Unread badge; in the app the counter appears on the app icon (the number on the Messages tab concerns unread messages instead).

Step by step on the website

  1. Open the notification center. From My account choose Notifications. What you see: the list on the left and the detail panel on the right with Select a notification to view its details.
  2. Read. Tap a notification: its page opens with the full text in the right panel (in the list the preview is truncated at 80 characters; a notification without a title is called Notification) and the notification is marked as read.
  3. Open the related content. If present, use Open related content to go to the event, the reservation or the profile. On the phone the arrow icon (Back to notifications) takes you back to the list.
  4. Scroll. Older notifications load as you scroll (Loading notifications...).

Step by step in the app

  1. Tap the bell to open My notifications.
  2. Tap a notification to open Notification detail; from there you reach the related content.
  3. From the Notification actions menu use Mark all as read to reset the counter.
