Step-by-step guide Reports and statistics

View report: who viewed the event page

The View report lists the views of the event page with the Referrals and Device charts, the filters by date, guest or registered, referral and device, and the columns Date/Time, Referrer, User, IP and Device. How the sources are recognised, what a Promoter sees and how to compare it with the conversions.

The View report records every opening of the event page. Cross-checked with the Conversion report it tells you which sources bring traffic and which ones bring purchases.

At a glance

  • Where: Event dashboardView report tab, or the Go to view report link in the Conversion Views card. The title is Report view event #… - N results (browser tab: Event view report).
  • Permissions: View event analytics. For a Promoter the report is always empty: views cannot be attributed to a channel. The Event views card on the dashboard requires View event views instead.
  • What you get: two breakdown charts and the paginated list of the views.

Step by step

  1. Open the report. From the dashboard choose the View report tab. What you see: at the top the Referrals and Device charts, then the filter bar and the table.
  2. Filter by date. The main field of the bar is Filter by date (date picker): choose the day and press Search; the Back button clears it.
  3. Use the advanced filters. Under More filters you find Guest filter (Guest = visitor who is not signed in, Registered = user with an account), Filter referrals (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Resident Advisor, Google, Brevo, Nightify, Other) and Filter devices (Web, Mobile, Android app, iOS app).
  4. Read the columns. Date/Time, Referrer (coloured badge of the source), User (e-mail or Guest), IP and Device.
  5. Browse the pages. 50 rows per page with Page N of M.

Fields and options

ColumnWhat it meansRules
Date/TimeMoment of the view. Can be filtered with Filter by date.
ReferrerWhere the visit comes from. The recognised sources are TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Resident Advisor, Google and Brevo (the e-mails sent with Brevo); if the source is internal or the browser did not send it, Nightify appears; a site that is not recognised is shown with the name of its domain.
UserWho visited.Guest if not signed in; e-mail masked as Hidden without marketing consent.
IPNetwork address of the visitor.
DeviceType of device.Web, Mobile, Android app, iOS app.

What happens next

  • The report is read-only; the Referrals and Device charts always summarise the whole event, not the current page.

Messages and errors

MessageWhy it appearsWhat to do
No views found. No row matches the filters, nobody has opened the page yet, or you are a Promoter.Press Back; if you are a Promoter use the Event views card on the dashboard, if your role shows it.
Many rows with Referrer = NightifyInternal visits (search, home page, direct shares) or a browser that does not send the source. To track your campaigns use tracking channels with dedicated links and read the Conversion report.

Special cases

  • Many views from one source and few sales: compare it with the Conversion report filtered by channel: that source deserves a different message or a different audience.
  • Mobile or app is dominant: take care of the square image and of the short description of the event.
  • Peak of views with no referral: it usually corresponds to direct shares (chats, messages).

Rules and limits

  • The report counts openings of the page, not people: the same person can generate several rows.
  • 50 rows per page; the Other filter collects the sources that are not recognised.
