Every time somebody opens the purchase flow a cart is created, which can end with a reservation or break off. The Conversion report lists all of these journeys: it is the tool for understanding where people stop and which channels bring real purchases.
At a glance
- Where: Event dashboard → Conversion report tab, or the Go to interactions report link in the Event interactions card. The title is Event conversion report #… - N results (browser tab: Event booking flows).
- Permissions: View event analytics (Administrator and Promoter; the Promoter only sees the journeys of their own channel).
- What you get: the paginated list of carts with their status and their source data.
Step by step
- Open the report. From the dashboard choose the Conversion report tab. What you see: the filter bar with the Search by user email field, the Search button, Back and More filters; below it, the table.
- Search by e-mail. Type the address (even partially) in Search by user email and press Search; carts opened without an account remain included as Guest.
- Use the advanced filters. Under More filters you find Filter by Status (two options: Converted and Not converted), Search by platform, Search by total (e.g. 100-500) (a value or a range with the dash), Search by channel ID or name and Search by tracking. Press Search; Back clears everything.
- Read the columns. Status, Timestamp (last update of the cart), Event, Channel, User email, Platform, Tracking, Total.
- Browse the pages. 50 rows per page with Page N of M.
Fields and options
| Column | What it means | Rules |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Outcome of the journey. | Converted: a reservation is linked to the cart, whatever its status. Closed: cart closed without a linked reservation. In progress: cart open and updated in the last 2 minutes. Abandoned: cart open and idle for more than 2 minutes. In cases that cannot be classified, Unknown appears. |
| Timestamp | Last update of the cart. | It is the reference used to tell In progress apart from Abandoned. |
| Event | Event of the cart. | |
| Channel | Source. | With a channel: the Organizer link badge and the name of the channel; without a channel: a badge with the name of the app. |
| User email | E-mail of the account that opened the cart. | Guest if the person was not signed in; masked as Hidden without marketing consent. |
| Platform | Website or app the journey started from. | Searchable with Search by platform. |
| Tracking | Tracking parameter of the link that was used. | Searchable with Search by tracking. |
| Total | Cart total in euros. | Searchable with Search by total (e.g. 100-500). |
What happens next
- The report is read-only: it does not close carts and it does not contact users.
- The number of rows matches the Event interactions value of the dashboard and, in the Business app, Event interactions / Interactions.
Messages and errors
| Message | Why it appears | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| No flows found. | No cart matches the filters, or nobody has started a purchase yet. | Press Back to clear the filters. |
| A Converted journey does not match a valid reservation | The linked reservation may be cancelled, expired or refunded: the status of the report only looks at whether the order exists. | Search for the e-mail in the Reservations report and check the status of the order. |
| The Not converted filter also shows In progress or Abandoned rows | The filter acts on the closing of the cart, not on the presence of a reservation. | Always read the Status column of the rows. |
Special cases
- Many Abandoned with a high total: the price or the fees are putting people off; consider absorbed fees or an intermediate release.
- Abandonments concentrated on one platform: check the event page and the payment methods on that device.
- A channel with many interactions and few conversions: the audience of the channel is not on target, or the message does not match the offer.
Rules and limits
- The threshold between In progress and Abandoned is 2 minutes from the last update of the cart; it does not coincide with the 15-minute payment window of the order.
- Not converted exists only as a filter option, never as a row status.
- 50 rows per page.
