Nightify notifies you by e-mail and, if you use the app, with push notifications. You can decide channel by channel and category by category; essential communications always stay active.
At a glance
- Where: website: My account → Notification settings (Email and push notification settings page); app: Profile → Notification settings.
- How it works: a table with the Category, Email and Push columns; for each row choose Yes or No.
- What cannot be turned off: the technical categories (This technical category is always enabled.).
The categories and what they contain
| Category | What arrives | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Booking notifications | Order confirmations, reservation status changes, waiting list notices, cancellations and postponements of the events you bought. | Email and push active. |
| Message notifications | Replies from support and organizers in conversations, plus follow requests (new request and request accepted). | At least one of the two active. |
| Promotional notifications | News and recommended events. | Your choice. |
| Event creation notifications | Review outcomes for the events you manage as an organizer. | Active if you organize events. |
| Organization and team notifications | Invitations, roles and activity of the organizations you belong to. | Active if you organize events. |
| Mandatory categories | Essential communications, for example the waiting list e-mail and the cancelled event notice; some do not even appear in the table. | Always active: the menus are disabled with the note This technical category is always enabled. |
| Administrator notifications, AI event publication | Only for platform administrator accounts. | They do not appear to normal users. |
Step by step on the website
- Open the page. From My account choose Notification settings. What you see: Email and push notification settings with the text Choose by category whether you want to receive email and push notifications.
- Set the categories. For each row choose Yes or No in the Email and Push menus. The technical rows have their menus disabled.
- Save. Press Save changes. Confirmation: Notification settings updated successfully.
Step by step in the app
- Open Profile → Notification settings (Manage email and push notifications by category).
- In the Notification settings screen set Email and Push for each Category.
- Tap Save. Confirmation: Notification settings updated successfully.
Enabling push on your phone
- At your first sign-in the app asks for permission to send notifications: accept (on Android it is an explicit system request).
- If you refused: iPhone → Settings → Notifications → Nightify → allow; Android → Settings → Apps → Nightify → Notifications → allow. Without permission, Push set to Yes has no effect.
- Push notifications only arrive on the devices where you have signed in to the app; after logging out they no longer arrive.
Messages and errors
| Message | Why it appears | What to do |

| Select a valid value for the notification settings. | A menu was left without a value. | Set Yes or No in every menu. |
| Unable to update notification settings. Please try again. | Temporary error. | Reload and save again. |
| No notification category is available. | Categories not configured at that moment. | Try again later. |
| Unable to load notification settings. (app) | No network. | Open it again with an active connection. |

Special cases
- You only want to receive e-mails: set Push to No for all categories, leaving Email on Yes.
- You cannot find an expected e-mail: check spam and promotions and make sure the category has Email set to Yes; communications can still be read in Notifications.
- Different categories appear in the app (for example those for administrators): only the categories available for your account are shown; the list is defined by the platform and may change.
- Email and push are saved together: if one of the two channels cannot be saved, no change is applied and the error appears.
