A rejection is not final: it says what cannot be published as it is. The Nightify administrator must always write a reason; read it, fix it and submit again. For an event that is already live the approved version stays visible to the fans.
At a glance
- Where you see it: the Rejected badge (new event) or Rejected changes (changes to a live event) in the lists and in the event dashboard.
- Where you read the reason: in the Event rejected: e-mail followed by the name of the event, sent to the organization members allowed to receive notifications; for changes to a live event also in the status card of the dashboard, row Reason for rejection:.
- Permissions: Manage events to fix it and submit again.
- What to do: Continue editing the draft, fix it, then Publish event or Publish changes.
Step by step
- Read the reason. Open the Event rejected: e-mail with the name of the event: it carries the reason written by the administrator (mandatory: without a reason the rejection cannot be recorded). You also receive Event status change: with the name of the event. For changes to a live event open the dashboard: the status card carries the Reason for rejection: row with the same text.
- Open the draft. In the status card press Continue editing the draft (for a new rejected event the card is not shown: use Edit event in the dashboard or Edit in the row menu in Live events). What you see: the steps Event page (texts, dates, location, images), Add tickets (titles, capacity, SIAE) and Publish (category, visibility, tags, lineup).
- Fix what the reason points to and save every step.
- Submit again. Press Publish event or Publish changes. Result: the event goes back to Under review (or Changes under review) and you receive the submission e-mails.
- If you do not want to go on, in the status card use Delete draft (new event) or Delete draft snapshot (changes to a live event). What you see: the confirmation Are you sure you want to delete this draft? This action cannot be undone. or Are you sure you want to delete this draft snapshot? This action cannot be undone., then Draft deleted successfully. or Draft snapshot deleted successfully.

Messages and errors
| Message | Why it appears | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| This action cannot be completed because the event status has changed. | The status changed while the page was open. | Reload the dashboard and repeat. |
| Only drafts can be deleted. | You tried to delete something that is not in draft. | No deletion is possible; to cancel a published event write to support. |
| No draft snapshot is available to delete. | The revision in draft no longer exists. | Reload the dashboard. |
| Unable to delete the draft. / Unable to delete the draft snapshot. | Technical error. | Try again; then support with the Event ID. |
Special cases
- You cannot find the e-mail. The e-mails go to the active members allowed to receive the notifications of the organization: check the spam folder and the notification settings; otherwise ask support for the reason quoting the Event ID (in the status card or in the dashboard).
- The reason is not clear. Write to support from the Contacts page with the Event ID and the date of the rejection.
- Rejected by organizer label. It is a status distinct from Rejected and Rejected changes, not linked to the administrator review; if you see it on one of your events and you do not know where it comes from, ask support.
Rules and limits
- The reason for the rejection is always there: the administrator cannot reject without writing it.
- For rejected changes the live version does not change; for a new rejected event there is no public version.
- Deleting the draft is final and cannot be undone.
