Submit the event for review

With Publish event or Publish changes the event moves to Under review: Nightify checks it within about 12 hours and lets you know by e-mail. Where you submit from, what is checked before the submission, what you see in the dashboard during the review (status card, editing lock, cancellation) and the two possible outcomes.

Nothing goes live without the Nightify review, which checks that the page and the ticketing are complete and consistent. The submission starts from the Publish step, from the Draft in progress box at the top of the editing steps or from the status card in the event dashboard: the button is always Publish event for an event never approved before and Publish changes for an event that is already live.

Before you start

  • For an event that is already approved there must be changes compared with the live version, otherwise It is not possible to send the event for review because no changes have been made. appears.
  • Events with SIAE ticketing require the organizer phone number verified with OTP; it is not required for other events.
  • In the sidebar every step has a status icon (completed, current step, not started): it is not a guarantee of validity, the real checks happen on submission. In the Event page step the save indicator can show Saved (to be completed) when mandatory fields are missing.

Step by step

  1. Press Publish event (or Publish changes). What you see: the step is saved first, then checked.
  2. Fix the reported problems. If the review finds something, the There are issues with your event cards appear at the top of the step, one per problem, with a button (Fix, Upload image, Create access type, Edit access type, Select seat map and others) that opens the page and the field to sort out. Fix them and repeat the submission until no cards are left.
  3. Submission confirmed. Result: you are taken back to the event dashboard. The status card shows the title Event under review (for changes to a live event Changes under review) with the note Verification may take up to 12 hours.   4. Wait for the outcome. During the review the editing pages are locked: opening a step shows the Event under review window with You can't make changes because the event is under review. It will be reviewed as soon as possible and you will receive an email. and the same cancellation button.

What is checked on submission

What happens next

  • The organization members allowed to receive notifications get the e-mails Event status change: with the name of the event and Event submitted for review; the Nightify administrators receive New event awaiting review: with the name of the event.
  • In the Change history of the event the operation is recorded as submit_pending.
  • Approved: the event (or the change) goes live with the visibility you chose and you receive the status change e-mail; in the dashboard the status becomes Approved.
  • Rejected (new event) or Rejected changes (live event): you receive the e-mail Event rejected: with the name of the event and the reason; for changes to a live event the status card also shows Reason for rejection:. The version already live, if there is one, stays unchanged.

Special cases

  • You have to fix something while it is under review. Use Cancel verification and return to draft, fix it and submit again: for a live event the fans keep seeing the approved version.
  • You only want to publish the photos of a live event without the full validation: Publish images only.
  • Event with external ticketing. The checks on the titles and on the image are not run.

Rules and limits

  • One submission at a time: while a review is in progress you cannot send another one or edit the event.
  • The e-mails go only to the active members allowed to receive the notifications of the organization, not to every member.
  • The review has no queue with a priority visible to the organizer: the indication is up to 12 hours.
