Your public profile shows your name, picture, Experienced events, Followers and Following. By setting it as private you limit this information and you decide who can follow you, approving each request.
At a glance
- Where: website: My account → Settings and privacy → Who can see your profile section; app: Profile → Settings and privacy.
- Control: Private profile: on the website a No / Yes choice, in the app a switch (saving from the app is not available in the current version).
- Immediate effect: Private profile badge, counters that others cannot open, new followers only upon approval.
Step by step on the website
- Open the settings. From My account choose Settings and privacy.
- Enable privacy. In the Who can see your profile section (Manage the visibility of your public profile.) set Private profile to Yes. The help text explains: When enabled, other users see a lock and cannot open followers or following from your profile.
- Save. Press Save changes. Confirmation: Settings updated successfully.
Step by step in the app
- Open Profile → Settings and privacy.
- In the Who can see your profile section you find the Private profile switch.
- In the current version of the app the Save changes button stays disabled: to change your visibility use the website.

Special cases
- Going back to public: set Private profile to No and save; requests still pending remain to be approved in Follow requests.
- Removing a follower you already accepted: there is no dedicated command; write to support from the Contacts page.
- Organizers and artists: the organization’s and the artist’s profile is always public; privacy only concerns your user profile.
