Create an access title

The Create access type page, section by section and field by field: status, basic information (name, price, fees, quantity, sales period, map element), advanced settings, visibility, availability and notices, purchase form. Every ticket type, list, table or accreditation is an access title. The creation page gathers in five sections everything that defines how the title is sold and what is asked of the person buying it: here you find every field with its default value, so you know what happens if you leave it alone.

At a glance

  • Where: Add tickets step → Create tickets & access titles section → Free or Paid card. From the seat map editor the same form opens in a window titled Access titles management with Add new rate.
  • Permissions: Manage ticketing.
  • What you get: a new title in the Tickets added to the event table, already with the Active status, infinite quantity, minimum and maximum 1 per reservation, low-stock notice enabled with threshold 10, Open visibility and Transferable form, until you change these values.
  • Time: a few minutes per title; the Advanced settings, Visibility and Availability and notices sections are collapsed and open by themselves only if they contain an error.

Before you start

  • Decide the structure of the titles (for example Early bird, Admission, Table for 6) and, for staged releases, which title depends on which.
  • If the event uses a structured seat map, draw the elements first: the Map element field appears only when sectors, tables or areas exist to link to.
  • With SIAE ticketing the quantity is mandatory, the price must be greater than zero for at least one rate and the maximum per reservation does not exceed 10.

Step by step

  1. Open the page. In the Add tickets step tap Free or Paid. What you see: the Create access type page; in the header, next to the title, there is the status selector with Active preselected (the other items are Sales ended, Sold out and Hidden). The hint reminds you that The status is applied when you save. With Free the fees box is not shown.
  2. Basic information: name and price. In Access type name write the name in the main language; the selector next to the label opens the other languages, each with its own field. In Price (€) enter the final price of the ticket (use 0.00 for free admissions). What you see: below the price the Buyer total: 0,00 € line updates as you type and View details opens the Cost to buyer box (Ticket price, Service fee, Total) and Your payout (Ticket revenue).
  3. Quantity and fees. In Available quantity (placeholder Enter quantity) write how many admissions you can sell, or leave Infinite quantity ticked: a new title is created as infinite and shows ∞. If the event has a structured map, choose in Map element the sector, the table or the area to link. Tick Absorb the fees: ticketing fees are deducted from your ticket earnings if you want the fan to pay only the price shown; without the tick the service fee is added to the total paid by the buyer (in the table of titles this choice appears as Fees added to the total: Yes or No).
  4. Sales period. If other titles already exist, When will the tickets be available? appears with Date and time or When sales close or sell out for…; if it is the first title the mode is date and time and the select is not shown. What you see: Sales start date and time is already filled in with the creation date and time of the event and Sales end date and time with the end of the event: change them if you want a different window. With When sales close or sell out for… the Select title field (placeholder Choose a title) appears instead of the start date.
  5. Advanced settings. Open the section and set Min quantity per booking and Max quantity per booking (both 1 by default), Waiting list (Yes or No; it starts on No, except for events with more than 5,000 seats), Pre-sale right (0.00 by default) and the Access type description, multilingual as well.
  6. Visibility. Leave Open (Visible to everyone on active sales channels.) or choose Limited (Visible according to the configured access rules.) to configure Access code, Sales channels and Sales quota.
  7. Availability and notices. The Low ticket availability notice switch is already on with Threshold (tickets remaining) equal to 10; the Preview shows the badge the fan will see. Turn it off or change the threshold if you need to.
  8. Purchase form. Choose Named (Separate details for every attendee.) or Transferable (One booking holder for the entire booking., the default value) and in Information requested from each attendee set each piece of data to Inactive, Optional or Required.
  9. Save. Press Create access type at the bottom of the page. Result: you go back to the Add tickets step and the title appears in the Tickets added to the event table. If a field is not valid you stay on the page with the message under the field and the section containing it opens by itself. There is no button to go back without saving: use the sidebar or the back button of the browser.

Special cases

  • Event with more than 5,000 seats. The purchase form is forced to Named and cannot be changed (hint: For events with capacity of 5,000 seats or more, attendee details must be required.); the Waiting list of new titles starts on Yes.
  • Title created from the map editor. The form opens in the Access titles management window; the element on which you pressed Add new rate is already linked.
  • Event under review. The page does not open: You can't make changes because the event is under review. It will be reviewed as soon as possible and you will receive an email. appears. Wait for the outcome or cancel the review from the dashboard.
  • SIAE events with reservations. Only for events with SIAE ticketing, and only on titles that already have reservations, name, price, opening option, start date, previous title and sales end date stay locked. In non-SIAE events all the fields stay editable.

Rules and limits

  • A title cannot exceed, on its own, the commercial capacity of the event (or the SIAE capacity if the commercial one is missing); with unlimited capacity there is no limit.
  • The pre-sale right is not a Nightify fee: it goes entirely into your revenue and does not enter the calculation base of the service fee.
  • With SIAE ticketing you cannot use the word “Ridotto” in the name or the description, every title must have a quantity and at least one rate must be paid.
  • Titles are not deleted from the console: to take one off sale use the Hidden, Sales ended or Sold out status.
