To prevent two people from overwriting each other, each event can only be edited by one user at a time. Control is assigned to whoever opens a step in the editor and automatically renewed as long as the page remains open; the consultation pages (dashboard, reports, reservations) are never blocked.
At a glance

How it works
- By opening a step you gain control of the event for your card; automatic and manual saves are only accepted by those in control.
- If the renewal fails, the page reports Communication error with the server; once 75 seconds have passed, control lapses and can be taken by another member.
- When you leave the editor page (for example with Return to event dashboard or closing the tab) the control is released; if the release does not reach the server, it will still expire within 75 seconds.
What happens when another member opens the same event
- The second user sees the Event Already Editing window with the text … is already editing this event. (preceded by the colleague's name) and the note To avoid overwriting you can take control or cancel and return to the dashboard.
- Choose. Take control makes him an editor instead of the other; Cancel and Return to event dashboard take you back to the dashboard without touching anything. The taking of control is accepted only if control has not passed to someone else in the meantime.
- Whoever loses control sees the Control Passed to Another User window with … has taken control of the change. This page has been blocked to avoid conflicting saves. and the note Return to the event dashboard to continue without risking overwriting.: the page no longer accepts saves. Already saved changes remain in the draft; those not yet saved are lost.
Same account on two cards or devices
- Opening the same event in a second tab or on another device displays Event already open in another session with This event is already being edited in another tab or device of your account. and the note You can take control here or return to the dashboard without interrupting the other session.
- If you take control, the other card shows Control passed to another session with Another card or device in your account has taken control of the change. This page has been locked to prevent overwriting. and Return to the event dashboard to continue safely. Continue working in one tab.
Messages and errors

Special cases
- The colleague closed the browser without exiting. Their control expires within 75 seconds: wait and reopen the step, or use Take Control.
- You just want to read the data while someone else edits. Use the Event Dashboard, reports and bookings - they don't require checking.
- You are about to take control. Tell your colleague to save: any changes not yet saved to their tab will be lost.
Rules and limits
- The block concerns only the editor steps; it does not touch dashboards, reports, reservations and inputs.
- Renewal every 20 seconds, expires at 75 seconds without renewal, maximum wait of 12 seconds for each control request.
- Taking control is only allowed on the control you were viewing: if it has changed in the meantime, the request is rejected and you must repeat.
- The same mechanism also protects the steps of the access tickets and the map places.
