Your profile picture appears in My account, on your public profile and in the followers and following lists. It is visible to all users, even with a private profile.
At a glance
- Where: website: avatar in the My account sidebar (Edit profile image); app: photo at the top of the Profile tab (Upload image / Edit image).
- Formats: the window mentions JPG, PNG or GIF; WEBP, AVIF and HEIC/HEIF are accepted too. Maximum size 5 MB.
- Rendering: the image is shown in a circle: keep the subject in the center.
Step by step on the website
- Open your account. Sign in and open My account.
- Open the window. Tap the avatar in the sidebar. What you see: the Update profile image window with the text Upload a new profile image to personalize your account. and the Drag your new image here or click to choose one. area with the note Supported formats: JPG, PNG or GIF (max 5 MB).
- Choose the file. Drag it into the area or press Upload image to open the file picker. What you see: the line goes from No file selected to Selected image: file name and then to Uploading image…: the upload starts on its own, without a second click.
- Wait for the confirmation. Confirmation: Profile image updated successfully.; the window closes on its own and the avatar is updated immediately.
Step by step in the app
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap the photo at the top: Upload image if you do not have one, Edit image to replace it.
- Choose the image from your gallery: the upload starts immediately and the photo is updated in your profile.
Messages and errors

Special cases
- You want to remove the photo without replacing it. There is no removal command: upload a neutral image or write to support.
- The photo looks cropped. Use a square image with the subject in the center.
- From the app. The image is compressed to JPEG before sending and the notice Loading image... appears: the format limits of the website window do not apply.
- From another page of the account area the avatar in the sidebar opens Edit Profile, not the window: go back to the main My account page.
