The Organizer Settings page defines the organization's public profile: what fans see on nightify.me/organization/nickname and in the Organized by card of each event. The changes are immediate and do not go through event verification.

At a glance

  • Where: organization console → settings menu item (address nightify.me/business/organizations/nickname/settings). You can also get there from the Set up your organizer profile step of the checklist and from the Set up your profile call in the console.
  • Permissions: are used together with Manage settings and Access settings, both included in the Administrator role. Without these permissions the page does not open: the error Your user does not have access to this resource. appears (there is no read-only version).
  • What you get: public profile updated immediately; if you change the nickname the profile and console addresses also change.

Step by step on the website

  1. Open settings. From the Organizations page, open the organization and choose the settings item in the console menu. What you see: the page with the heading Organizer Settings, the form with the fields already filled in and at the bottom the Save settings button.
  2. Update your profile data. Organization Name, Organization Description, Website, Facebook Link and Instagram Link follow the same rules as creation. By hovering the mouse over each field a suggestion appears, for example for the name Use the public name that will appear on the organization's profile and in event pages. and for the image Upload a logo or cover image for the organization's profile.
  3. Check or change the Nickname. The Nickname field (suggested Unique identifier used in the organization's URL.) is mandatory and contains the value generated upon creation. If you change it, as you type the page queries the server and shows below the field This nickname is available. or This nickname is already used by another organization.; with characters not allowed, The nickname can only contain letters and numbers appears. If you leave the nickname the same as the current one, the check does not start.
  4. Replace the image, if necessary. Drag the new file into the Drag image here area or press Load image; with the Remove image button (trash bin icon) you remove it.
  5. Save. Press Save settings. Confirm: Organization updated successfully. and you are returned to the console; if you changed the nickname, the console address is already the new one.

What happens next

  • Changes are immediately visible on the public profile and event pages: no Nightify verification.
  • If you have changed your nickname, the old profile and console address is no longer valid: update the links you have published elsewhere (social media bio, website, printed QR). The promoter's personal link does not depend on the organization's nickname but on the user's nickname, therefore it does not change.
  • By completing the name, description and image, the Set up your organizer profile step of the checklist is completed and the Set up your profile prompt disappears from the console.

  • You change your nickname while you are on a console page. After saving you are returned to the same page, but with the new nickname in the address.
  • You need to update your tax data or IBAN. They are not on this page: open Organizer tax settings (you need the Access to tax data and Manage tax data permissions).

Rules and limits

  • Changes to the organization's profile do not go through verification and do not affect already published events, which continue to show the organization's updated data.
  • The Administrator role is the only default role with the necessary permissions for this page.
